stc and SCAI collaborate to increase the adoption of AI in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Aims to contribute to enriching the local community and customers' experiences
stc Group, the digital Enabler, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Artificial Intelligence Company (SCAI) to develop the Kingdom's technology landscape. The MoU was signed by Eng. Saud Al-Sheraihi, Vice President of Products and Solutions at stc Group, and Mubarak Al-Wadaani, Chief Commercial Officer at SCAI.
The MoU aims to contribute to enriching the local community and customers' experiences, as well as spreading the culture of entrepreneurship and innovation through participation in events. In addition, the agreement seeks to support startups and raise the quality of life in the Kingdom. Under the terms of the MOU, the two parties shall pursue cooperation in the development and research of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and related technologies, and explore joint efforts to localize AI and develop algorithmic assets.
" Through this MoU, we seek to benefit, expand and intensify academic empowerment and scientific contributions that will further strengthen Saudi Arabia’s technology landscape and contribute to the development of the Kingdom’s AI ecosystem. We are exploring ways to collaborate on data sharing for product development and research, and research and will also cooperate to deliver collaborative training to elevate the capabilities of university students, recent graduates, on-the-job leaders and experts in the fields of data, AI and digital technologies,", said Eng. Saud Al-Sheraihi, Vice President of Products and Solutions at stc Group.

The most prominent goal of the MoU between the two parties is to contribute to increasing the adoption of AI in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the development of operational, organizational and technical systems, and the exchange of experiences and knowledge. The agreement will also drive discussion on aspects of cooperation to support and enable projects in the non-profit sector adopted by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA).
